Drone Cleaning Services for Commercial & Industrial Facilities

Accessing hard-to-reach structures for cleaning has traditionally meant scaffolding, elevated work platforms and significant safety exposure. SGA’s drone cleaning services provide a compliant, efficient alternative, removing the need for elevated access equipment and reducing risk from the ground up. Currently servicing Queensland, with New South Wales and Victoria coming soon.

Replacing High-Risk Access
Methods with Drone Technology

Traditional cleaning methods, including scaffolding, swing stages and rope access, introduce significant safety exposure and operational complexity before a single surface is cleaned. Working at heights permits, harness requirements, safety supervision and equipment certification all add time and cost before any cleaning begins.

SGA’s drone pressure washing systems are deployed across commercial buildings, industrial facilities and infrastructure assets throughout Queensland. Where manual access is difficult, dangerous or time-consuming, our technology provides a safer, more efficient alternative without compromising cleaning standards.

SGA operates the DJI Agras T50, a purpose-built aerial platform fitted with high-pressure water jets capable of up to 35 bar output. Pressure is calibrated to suit the specific surface on every job, protecting coatings and materials while achieving thorough results.

Cleaning solutions are supplied by Chemitech and carry biodegradability certification, ensuring safe application across a range of site conditions including facilities with specific wastewater or drainage requirements.

Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning maintains accuracy to within 1cm throughout each operation, delivering consistent coverage across the full surface area. All flights are planned, CASA-notified and logged through FlyFreely before deployment, ensuring full operational compliance on every project.

Drone Cleaning Technology

Key Technology Features

At SGA, we go beyond cleaning—we provide comprehensive, vertically
integrated hygiene solutions that safeguard your facility.

DJI Agras T50

An industrial-grade aerial platform with eight propellers and pressure output up to 35 bar. The T50 operates with a 30-metre hose system, maintaining safe standoff distance from structures while delivering effective coverage across large surface areas.

Collision Prevention Technology

Real-time obstacle detection monitors the flight path continuously. When an obstacle is identified, the system restricts forward movement until the path is clear, protecting building surfaces and equipment simultaneously.

Fail-Safe Backup Battery

If the primary electrical tether fails mid-operation, the backup battery activates automatically, allowing the drone to land safely. This protects both equipment and the work site below.

RTK Positioning (±1cm Accuracy)

RTK GPS ensures the drone holds exact position throughout each clean, producing consistent coverage without gaps, overlaps or rework.

FlyFreely Flight Logging

Every job is logged and managed through FlyFreely prior to deployment, including CASA notification, site assessment and operational sign-off. Full compliance documentation is maintained for every project.

The Problem With Traditional Cleaning Methods

Manual cleaning of large or elevated structures involves significant coordination and cost before work begins. Facilities face:

Labour requirements and access limitations also create quality inconsistencies. Areas that are difficult to reach manually are often cleaned less thoroughly, producing uneven results across the same structure.

SGA’s drone cleaning services remove the need for elevated access equipment entirely. A two-person crew completes what traditionally requires a larger team over a longer period, with no workers exposed to height-related risk and no scaffolding or boom lift hire required.

Drone Cleaning Services

SGA currently provides drone cleaning services for building facades and solar panels across Queensland. Additional structure types and states are being introduced as capacity expands. See individual service notes below.

Solar Panel Cleaning

Currently available in Queensland

Soiling on solar panels directly reduces power output. Panels in high-contamination environments, including rural properties, industrial zones and coastal locations, can lose up to 15% of their generation capacity between cleans. For large arrays, that represents a consistent and measurable financial loss.

SGA’s drone cleaning service restores panels to peak operating efficiency without manual access to rooftop or ground-mounted arrays. Our system applies Chemitech biodegradable solution, allows appropriate dwell time for the chemistry to break down soiling, then pressure-washes the surface clean from a controlled operating distance.

To maintain panels in the 85 to 95% optimal efficiency range, SGA recommends half-yearly servicing as a baseline, with quarterly servicing for high-exposure sites where soiling accumulates faster.

Minimum job size: 300 panels. Pricing is typically in the $4,000 to $5,000 range per visit, subject to array size, site access and location. Contact us for a site-specific quote.

Large industrial and commercial facilities involve expansive exterior surfaces that are impractical to clean manually at scale. SGA’s drone building cleaning service accesses entire building envelopes efficiently, including areas that rope access or elevated work platforms cannot reach safely. Weekend scheduling is available for facilities where operations cannot be paused during the working week.

Building Facade Cleaning

Currently available in Queensland

High-Rise Facades
& Window Cleaning

Expansion to NSW and Victoria coming soon

Upper-floor facades and windows no longer require scaffolding or swing stage access. SGA’s drone window cleaning system operates up to a 50-metre ceiling, reaching height safely and eliminating the coordination overhead and safety exposure of traditional elevated access methods.

Silos

Expansion coming soon

Agricultural and industrial silos present confined space hazards when cleaned via conventional methods. Drone cleaning removes the need for workers to enter these environments, substantially reducing risk. For food and agricultural storage applications, this approach supports food safety compliance without the contamination risk associated with manual entry.

Civil Infrastructure

Expansion coming soon

Bridges, tunnels, retaining walls and other infrastructure assets require regular maintenance to meet compliance and condition standards. SGA’s drones access structural elements that are difficult or dangerous to reach manually, including bridge undersides, tunnel ceilings and elevated supports, without the traffic disruption or extensive safety setup that traditional access methods require.

Sporting Stadiums
& Venues

Expansion coming soon

Stadium roofing, facades and exterior structures cover large surface areas that are costly and logistically complex to clean manually. SGA’s system handles these surfaces with minimal disruption to venue operations, with scheduling coordinated around event calendars.

Residential &
Strata Buildings

Expansion coming soon

Multi-storey apartment buildings and residential complexes require exterior maintenance without disrupting residents or blocking building access. SGA’s drone cleaning service is well-suited to strata and body corporate maintenance schedules where minimising operational disruption is a priority.
